I took a brush in my hand...

"In the fall of 2019, I took a brush in my hand for the first time and felt an all-important breathing hole. A refuge where I did not have to hide and suppress the smoldering anxiety and stream of tears. Here the tears could fall and the emotions be allowed to express themselves when words were superficial."

About me

Painting my feelings

Today, I resort to the paint no matter what feelings I have. A sunny morning with morning coffee and podcasts is an obvious opportunity for self-immersion in the art world - and not least self-pampering.

The calm it gives me to create something beautiful and expressive is a calm no other form of therapy has been able to give me. Over the last year, I have opened up more and more to the talk of mental illness, though only with my closest relations, but now it's time for the facade to fall (no matter how transgressive and nerve-wracking it is), so I can speak openly and honestly - and maybe even be a help or support to other young people, with similar challenges.

I believe that art and creativity are the path to healthier health. At least for me.
